Register Now
Register Now accepts team entries from a selected Discord channel and automates participant role grants and team channel creation.
Configure the feature on the Register Now page. FN-Tools BOT monitors messages and performs the Discord-side actions.
Key terms
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Entry panel | A web panel for configuring the server, channel, size, and roles used to accept entries |
| Entry | One team accepted by the BOT from a message in the entry channel |
| Entry channel | The Discord text channel where participants submit entries |
| Team role | A role created for one entry and granted to that team’s members |
| Shared role | A role granted to every participant in every accepted entry |
| Rotation role | A selected role assigned per entry or individually to members within each entry |
Create an entry panel
Open Register Now, press Create entry, and complete six steps.
| Step | Settings | Details |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Server | Server and entry channel |
| 2 | Format | Size, prefix, and duplicate entries |
| 3 | Entry requirements | Roles required for entry |
| 4 | Grant roles | Team, shared, and rotation roles |
| 5 | Category | Categories, channels, and messages |
| 6 | Voice roles | Role grants while users are in voice channels |
Use Next, Back, or the steps at the top to navigate. Save a new registration from the final Voice roles screen.
Configure rotation roles and the team role name on the Grant roles screen. A team role and category are created for every entry.
See Entry management for reviewing, exporting, and deleting entries.
See Register Now integration to use entry teams in Replay Analyzer score totalling.
Optional custom key distribution (Router Key)
Router Key is an option for distributing custom keys. For one match, all recipients receive the same key. For simultaneous matches, choose whether to change opponents each round or keep the same opponents. Participants check their key in Discord.
After creating an entry panel, open Configure custom key distribution from the confirmation or target panel. It supports panels you own or have editor access to, with 1 to 50 members per entry. Choose 1 (solo) to distribute the same key to all recipients. See Custom key distribution for examples and setup instructions.
Sharing with other accounts
Use the share button on an existing panel to create a URL that grants Viewer or Editor access. When a recipient opens the URL and signs in to FN-Tools with Discord, access to the panel is saved to that account.
| Permission | Capabilities |
|---|---|
| Viewer | View settings and entries, export CSV files, and use the panel in the Replay Analyzer Register Now integration |
| Editor | Viewer capabilities plus settings changes and individual or bulk entry deletion |
| Owner | Editor capabilities plus sharing management and deletion of the panel itself |
Disabling a share link prevents new accounts from joining, but it does not remove accounts that already accepted the link. The owner can change each account between Viewer and Editor or remove its access from the sharing screen.
Recipients can also remove their own access with Leave shared panel. This does not affect the owner, other recipients, or the share link. Opening an active share link again grants access again.
Shared panels do not count toward the recipient’s panel limit; they continue to count toward the owner’s plan limit. Recipients can view and edit without joining the target Discord server, but FN-Tools BOT must be in that server with the permissions required for Discord-side operations.
How an entry is processed
- A participant posts a team name and user mentions in the configured entry channel.
- By default, the author and every uniquely mentioned user become the participants. When representative entry is enabled, only explicitly mentioned users become participants; this includes the author when they mention themselves.
- The BOT validates the participant count, duplicate-entry setting, and required roles.
- The BOT grants shared, rotation, and team roles.
- The BOT always creates a category and creates the configured text and voice channels.
- A
✅reaction means processing completed.
The BOT uses ⏳ while processing and ❌ when validation fails. When available, a reply explains the error.
Example entry
For a Duo panel with Team Name as the prefix, the author already counts as one participant, so only one other user is mentioned.
Team Name: Sample Team
@member2Both : and the full-width : separator are accepted.

Plan limits
| Plan | Entry panels |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 |
| Pro | 10 |
One panel configures one entry channel. You can create separate panels for different channels in the same Discord server.
Requirements and permissions
- Sign in to FN-Tools with Discord.
- Both the operator and FN-Tools BOT must be in the target server.
- The BOT must be able to view the entry channel and read message content.
- The BOT must be able to add reactions and send replies.
- Role creation, grants, and removal require Manage Roles.
- Category and channel creation or deletion require Manage Channels.
- The BOT’s role must be above every role it manages.
Web and BOT responsibilities
The Register Now page saves settings and provides list, edit, export, and delete controls. The BOT reads the saved settings and processes messages, voice-state changes, and member role changes.
Updated settings apply to later BOT operations. Editing a template does not automatically rename Discord roles or categories that were already created.
