Troubleshooting
This page lists common issues and what to check first.
Replay Download
The Session ID is invalid
Both hyphenated and non-hyphenated Session IDs are supported, but the normalized value must be exactly 32 characters.
The replay cannot be downloaded
Only BATTLE ROYALE TOURNAMENT SETTINGS custom games and official tournament matches are supported.
Regular matches, Reload, OG, RELOAD TOURNAMENT SETTINGS, and creative map replays cannot be downloaded.
An older match cannot be downloaded
Server replays are typically deleted by Epic after about two weeks. Updates or patches may remove them sooner.
”Failed to retrieve the replay file. The Session ID may not exist, or the server replay file may have expired for this match.” is shown
FN-Tools could not retrieve the target server replay from Epic Games. The Session ID may not exist, or the server replay file may have expired for that match.
Replay Analyzer
Analysis fails
Make sure the file is a .replay file and keep the tab open until upload completes.
Upload reaches 100%, but analysis does not finish
Wait a moment and try again. If analysis still does not finish, try analyzing another replay file.
If other replay files can be analyzed, the replay file that failed may be corrupted.
Placements look wrong
If the replay file was not recorded until the end of the match, later placement data may be missing.
- Replay file data: Shows raw placement data from the file
- Estimated placement: Recalculates placement from the kill feed
- Corrected placement: Uses raw data where available and fills missing parts
Estimated placement may be inaccurate when the replay does not include the winner.
History disappeared
Replay history is stored in the browser’s IndexedDB. It is not shared across devices or browsers. Clearing browser data may also remove analysis history and related data.
Web publishing
Publishing fails
Web publishing requires Discord OAuth2 sign-in. Free and Pro plans have separate publish duration and simultaneous publish limits.
A public ranking page no longer works
Published rankings stop being viewable after their retention period. Once expired, the URL no longer works. Republish before expiry if you need it to stay available.
Discord image export
A server is not shown
Only servers where both you and the FN-Tools BOT are members are shown.
A channel is not shown
Only channels that you can view and that the FN-Tools BOT can view and send messages to are shown.
Discord role assignment
Roles are not shown
Both the user and the BOT need role management permission. The role being assigned must also be lower than both the user’s highest role and the BOT’s highest role.
A player is skipped
Players are skipped if they have not linked Epic or if the linked Discord user is not in the target server.
Re-running immediately fails
Role assignment has a short cooldown. Wait a moment before running it again.
