3. Roles required for entry
Under Entry requirements, set the roles checked before an entry is accepted. Roles required for entry is always shown. Enabling representative entry adds Roles required for the representative below it.
When representative entry is OFF
The BOT uses Roles required for entry and checks every entry participant.
- The BOT checks every participant, including the author.
- Multiple selected roles use AND logic.
- Every participant must have every selected role.
- One missing role rejects the entire entry.
When representative entry is ON
Roles required for the representative is added below the normal setting. The BOT checks that the message author has every selected role, allowing entry submission to be limited to designated representatives.
Roles required for entry still applies when representative entry is enabled. The BOT accepts the entry only when every mentioned participant has the normal required roles and the message author has the representative roles.
Each setting allows up to five roles.
When validation fails, the BOT reacts with ❌ and identifies the affected participants in its reply.
Normal-entry example
If Tournament Participant and Verified are selected, every participant needs both.
| Participant | Tournament Participant | Verified | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | Yes | Yes | Passes |
| B | Yes | No | Entire entry is rejected |
Difference from other role settings
- Required roles: qualifications checked before entry
- Shared and rotation roles: roles granted after entry completes
- Voice conditional roles: conditions used to choose a temporary role while a user is in a target voice channel
The selector only shows roles manageable by the BOT and operator. If a role is missing, check Discord role order and Manage Roles permissions.
