Replay Analyzer
Upload a .replay file to analyze the full match results. Replay files are processed on the server and automatically deleted afterward.
You’ll see every player’s placement, elimination count, and party info. From there, you can tally scores, export images or data, and publish a public ranking page.
Where to get a .replay file
From Fortnite’s auto-saved replays
Fortnite automatically saves replays of matches you played to your PC:
%localappdata%\FortniteGame\Saved\DemosFiles are named like UnsavedReplay-2024.11.03-21.30.00.replay. Pick the one you want and upload it directly.
From Replay Download
If you downloaded a server replay using Replay Download, it will be in your default Downloads folder. You can upload it to Replay Analyzer directly from there.
Uploading a replay
Go to /en/replayanalyzer, then either drag and drop your .replay file onto the upload area or click it to pick a file. Analysis takes a few seconds. When it’s done, results appear automatically below.
The upload area accepts one file at a time. Uploading multiple replays simultaneously is not supported.
Reading the results
Match info
At the top of each result you’ll see:
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Playlist | Game mode, such as Solo, Duos, or Squads |
| Started | When the match began |
| Participants | How many teams and players were in the match |
| Session ID | The unique ID for this match. Used by Replay Download. |
| Replay Owner | The player whose client recorded this replay |
| Analysis Status | Whether any data issue or warning was detected |
Player table
Below the match info is the full player list. Use the select box ON / OFF to show or hide columns:
| Toggle | Shows |
|---|---|
| Disconnected | Players who dropped from the match shortly after joining |
| Platform | Platform icon next to each player |
| Party Leader | Marks the leader of each party |
| Anonymous | Players who hid their name in Fortnite settings |
| Kills | The eliminations column |
Placement display modes
Replay files don’t always record every player’s placement correctly, so you can choose how placements are shown:
Replay file data: exactly what’s in the file, unmodified.
Estimated placement: recalculated from the kill feed. If the replay does not include the winner, this mode can produce inaccurate placements.
Corrected placement: uses raw data where present and fills gaps with estimated placements.
In most cases, Replay file data is fine as-is.
Analysis status
The status field can show one of four values:
OK: No problems found. All data looks complete.
PLAYER_NETWORK_DISCONNECTED: One or more players appear to have been disconnected by a network error right after joining. Their data may be partial.
REPLAY_OWNER_LEFT_EARLY: The player who recorded this replay left before the match ended. Placements and eliminations for later parts of the match may be missing.
ONLY_REPLAY_OWNER_HAS_PLACEMENT: A bug in Fortnite v39.30 caused placement data to be incomplete for all players except the replay owner. This bug has since been fixed by Epic. If you see this status, switch to Corrected placement mode.
Usage limits
Each replay file analysis consumes one analysis allowance.
| Usage state | Maximum lots | Recovery | Period limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Signed out | None | None | 1 file per day |
| Free | 6 | 1 lot every 8 minutes | 15 files in the last 72 hours |
| Pro | 50 | 1 lot every 8 minutes | 300 files in the last 7 days |
Analysis lots limit how many files can be analyzed in a short burst. When the lots run out, they recover one at a time.
The period limit prevents continuous bulk analysis. Analysis remains unavailable while this limit is reached, even if lots are available.
After using the signed-out daily analysis, sign in to use the Free allowance.
Free is intended for trying FN-Tools, testing it at a small event, checking analysis and result exports, and evaluating the service before subscribing to Pro.
Pro supports batch analysis after tournaments and is designed so normal tournament operation rarely reaches the limit. The rolling 300-file cap helps prevent analysis services, automated submissions, and other bulk misuse.
Signed-in users can review their current lots and period usage on the Usage dashboard.
