Register Now integration

Use team rosters accepted by Register Now as the basis for grouping Replay Analyzer match results.

Requirements

  • FN-Tools Pro plan
  • A Register Now entry panel
  • FN-Tools Link completed by every entry member
  • Categories and team roles created by Register Now

FN-Tools Link maps Discord users to the Epic Games accounts found in replay data.

Adding the integration to a rule

In the Aggregation and Register Now step of Creating scoring rules:

  1. Enable Register Now integration.
  2. Select an entry panel.
  3. Configure Aggregate team members in the same match.

The selector shows the server, entry channel, entry-team count, participant count, and FN-Tools Link count.

Data read from Discord

Team rosters are not copied into a separate database table. They are read from Discord:

  • Entry categories containing the panel code
  • Team roles associated with those categories
  • Discord members holding each team role
  • Epic Games accounts mapped through FN-Tools Link

When the category template contains {teamname}, its prefix and suffix are removed to determine the team name. Scoreboards continue to show Epic Games player names only; the Discord team name is not displayed above player names.

Caution: Manually renaming team roles or categories can remove their code and prevent the entry from being recognized. Do not rename them manually.

Ten-minute cache

Roles, categories, and member data fetched through the Discord API for scoring are cached per server for ten minutes.

  • Normal recalculation reuses the same data when Discord was queried within the last ten minutes.
  • If no cache exists or it is older than ten minutes, the next scoring request queries Discord.
  • Discord role or category changes may not be reflected until the cache expires.

When a rule with Register Now integration enabled is selected, Refresh Discord appears to the left of the rule selector. It bypasses the ten-minute cache, fetches the latest roles, categories, and members, and recalculates the scores.

Assigning results to teams

If a match result contains at least one registered member, it is assigned to that entry team.

For example, a team can register as trio A + B + C, then have each member play one separate solo match. The results for A, B, and C can still be combined into one team total.

Aggregate team members in the same match

ON

All matching members from the same match are added to the team. This supports team events where every member’s individual result should count.

When match-specific rules are used, a rule can be selected only when its aggregation method, Register Now enablement, target panel, and Aggregate team members in the same match setting all match the global rule. Match-specific rules can change only placement and elimination points.

OFF

If multiple members appear in the same match, only the best-performing member is counted. Equal placements use the existing score calculation and tiebreak order.

Results excluded from automatic scoring

A team with any unlinked member is excluded because its official roster cannot be mapped to Epic Games accounts. The scoring screen displays the excluded team names.

Match result maps to multiple teams

A result matching more than one entry team is excluded to avoid assigning it incorrectly. The scoring screen displays the affected match.

Category or team role cannot be recognized

An entry is not available for scoring if its coded category and associated team role cannot be read.

Split rosters after scoring

If a late arrival produces separate A + B and A + B + C results, use Team merge under Editing score results.

A merge is allowed only when at least half of the roster matches and the combined unique-member count stays within the expected party size.
